Britney Spears Bikini Shots - Looking Hot

Britney Spears must be very serious about changing her ways because she was spotted by the paparazzi recently in Las Vegas hanging around the pool of the Mirage in her bikini. This girl is looking very good.

Her body looks a lot more toned, and she has lost that matronly look that she had been sporting when her behavior was out of control.

If Britney keeps up this weight loss regimen and regains her old hot looks, there could be no stopping her quest to be back on top of the music world.

But celebrity news has been rather boring lately since our little bad girl turned over a new leaf. She is not out shaving her head or running over paparazzi feet.

And she hasn't attacked anyone lately with her unbrella. It's really b-o-r-i-n-g!

Now that Britney is behaving, Lindsay Lohan has quit drugs (?) and Nicole Richie is taking care of her baby, the only celebrity causing trouble is Amy Winehouse.

Thank God for ol' Amy. What would we do without her?

Britney's manager, Larry Rudolph said that "She's in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio."

See? Boring.

OJ Simpson Back in Slammer

OJ Simpson was forced to return to jail today for violation of the terms of his bail by attempting to contact one of his co-defendants in his armed robbery/kidnapping case.

On Friday, OJ was being escorted from the Miami area back to Las Vegas to be jailed until he faced a hearing on Wednesday.

Las Vegas court prosecutors have stated that Simpson allegedly left a message on November 16th asking his bail bondsman, Miguel Pereira, to get in contact with Simpson’s co-defendant, Clarence “C.J.” Stewart, to convince him not to cut a deal with the prosecution and testify against Simpson.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger stated in court documents that "after being admitted to bail with the conditions set above…(Simpson) attempted to dissuade a co-defendant from testifying and cooperating with law enforcement."

In the message Simpson was quoted as saying, “I’m fed up with this. Fed up with changing what they told me. All right?”

Simpson allegedly made the call only two days after he was ordered to stand trial by a Vegas justice of the peace for 12 counts including armed robbery and kidnapping. Simpson may be liable to spend the rest of his life behind bars if he is convicted.

OJ has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to stand trial beginning April 7th. He was freed on $125,000 bail until then with the proviso that he have absolutely no contact with the other defendants in the case--not even by “carrier pigeon.”

Simpson’s bail bondsman You Ring We Spring rearrested Simpson after the Las Vegas prosecutor filed a complaint that Simpson has violated the terms of his bail.

On Wednesday, District Court Judge Jackie Glass will be faced with the decision as to whether or not Simpson violated the terms of his $125,000 bail. If the judge decides that Simpson did violate bail, OJ could be forced to remain in jail until his trial.

Memorbilia Dealer Implicates OJ Simpson In Vegas Hearing

OJ Simpson appeared in a Las Vegas court room today for a preliminary hearing to determine whether Simpson should stand trial for a September 13th alleged armed robbery in a hotel room at the Palace Station Hotel-Casino.

Sports memorabilia dealer, Bruce Fromong, testified that Simpson and his associates burst into the room “in a military invasion fashion,” and that although Simpson was not armed, two of his associates were. Fromong also testified that OJ was screaming, “This is all my s---. This all belongs to me. You stole this from me. Let's pack up. Let's get out of here.”

Fromong said that one of the armed men pointed a gun to Fromong’s head saying, “I'll shoot your a--.”

Deputy District Attorney David Roger said he expects to call seven more witnesses in the hearing which is expected to last only two days.

Fromong, who had a heart attack only days after the incident, testified that he called a TV show from his hospital bed to explain his version of the incident. He admitted that he has tried to sell items, that were identical to what was stolen, on Ebay, and that he has discussed the possibility of writing a book about the affair.

Fromong testified that Simpson also took memorabilia related to Joe Montana, Duke Snider and Pete Rose. That testimony is important because Simpson’s defense is that he was merely trying re-acquire items that were stolen from him years ago. If the prosecution is able to prove that Simpson stole items that were never his, that would potentially shoot holes in Simpson’s contention that he only took his own belongings.

Tom Scotto, a friend of Simpson’s from North Miami Beach, FL, said that Simpson believes that the charges in the case were filed because of the not guilty verdict in Simpson’s murder trial for his wife’s slaying in 1994.

Outside the courtroom were a man dressed in a chicken costume and a woman dressed in a rabbit suit with the words “Stop Police Brutality” painted on it. Overhead a helicopter circled.

The circus for the second OJ trial has begun.

FBI Reported Seizing $2 million in David Copperfield Rape Investigation

Fox News and TMZ.com are reporting that David Copperfield is being investigated by the FBI. The investigation is reportedly about a rape complaint that a Seattle woman has filed against the illusionist.

Because the alleged rape occurred in the Bahamas, which is outside of the US, the FBI has legal jurisdiction over Americans accused of crimes there.

2Snaps.tv has reported that Copperfield allegedly offered the woman $2 million for her silence in the matter. According to Fox News, the FBI raided a warehouse that Copperfield either leases or owns in Las Vegas. 2Snaps.tv has reported that the FBI seized $2 million cash in that raid along with digital camera equipment and a computer hard drive.

The FBI is reportedly investigating whether Copperfield photographs attractive women who attend his Las Vegas shows and then invites them to his hideaway on the Bahamas.

According to a friend of the alleged victim, Copperfield invited the alleged victim to a “lavish party” at his compound in the Bahamas. When the woman arrived last July 27th, there was no party--only she and Copperfield.

The woman’s friend states that Copperfield held the woman down and forced himself on her leaving terrible bruises. The woman used her cell phone to take photos of the scene, then flew back to Seattle, where she filed her complaint.

A spokesperson for Copperfield has denied all of the allegations.

Defendant: Guns Were OJ's Idea

Charles “Chuck” Cashmore told NBC’s Matt Lauer on the Today Show that OJ Simpson is the one who asked his co-defendants to bring guns with them when Simpson and a few associates allegedly robbed two sports memorabilia dealers at the Palace Station Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas in early September.

Cashmore was one of the “associates” who accompanied Simpson on the botched mission to rescue some of OJ’s memorabilia that he claims were rightfully his. The accompanying photo shows a football that was one of the items that OJ allegedly stole from the hotel room.

OJ claims that the memorabilia was stolen from him years ago, and he was merely retrieving his own property. The Las Vegas police have a different view of the “retrieval” and have charged Simpson with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary with a deadly weapon and kidnapping.

Cashmore claims to have only met Simpson that very day saying, “I did not know Mr. Simpson before that evening. A mutual friend of ours asked me if I wanted to meet the gentleman. I just had a cocktail with him and it went from there.”

NBC reports that Cashmore has pled guilty to being an accessory to a robbery and is cooperating with the prosecuting attorneys. If Cashmore testifies that the guns were OJ’s idea, that could prove to be one important nail in Simpson’s coffin. Simpson initially claimed that there were no guns involved in the alleged robbery.
